Sunday School

We offer Sunday School for students in preschool up through 5th grade. They use the Spark Lectionary series that connects the Sunday School classes to the church year with readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. The curriculum engages children with hands-on learning, including activities and creative crafts.

We will be offering a weekly class for adults on Sunday mornings in Room 3. One class will be offered each week. Course content will rotate between Bible Study content and discussion facilitated by Barb Young and Christian Art in the Baroque Era facilitated by Lisa Traugott. In the event that a course facilitator is not available to teach on a given Sunday during their rotation, David Derr will facilitate Lectio Divina, a way of reading scripture that is reflective, meditative, receptive and responsive. The class schedule and course content will be included in the church bulletin & newsletters and will be posted in the lobby.

Tuesday's @ 10

This program offers a daytime setting for adults to gather for Bible Study, conversation, and fellowship.

This is a perfect time to get together with a few friends and be surrounded in a caring community.  We are always welcoming new friends to this Bible Study.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is held for a whole week during the summer. Bible stories, crafts, music, games, and snacks create a memorable experience.

Kidz Connect

Kidz Connect is our evening child's program that runs on Thursday nights from 6:00-7:30 September-May.  It is for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. It consists of choir, bible lesson, craft, snack, and games.  Children also sing during the second worship service a few times a year.

The woodworking skills of Harold S. Wiest are always on display in the sanctuary at Friedens Lutheran Church. Items designed and built by Wiesty pictured here include the baptismal font, the Christ candle stand; pulpit torch stands; flower stands; and communion tray tables.
