Adult Confirmation Class!
Beginning November 2, 2017 @ 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Leader: Dave Derr

Wondering what it means to be Lutheran?  This class is for you!  Take time on Thursday nights this fall to explore the rich history of Martin Luther, the Reformation and Luther’s Small Catechism.

By Heart: Conversations with Martin Luther’s Small Catechism is the curriculum we will be following.  The entire course is built around three kinds of source material that we see as essential to a meaningful experience of Luther’s Small Catechism:
  • Scripture and Tradition. For example, the Ten Commandments as cited in Exodus 20 or the Apostle’s Creed as we have it from Christian traditions.
  • Luther’s explanations of the scripture or doctrine from Christian traditions.
  • The "backstory" of Luther’s own life and times, the fertile soil of the Reformation itself.
Come at 5:30 p.m. and grab a quick and easy dinner!  Join the class in room 5 for a meaningful class.

We are always looking for new ministry leadership – contact Kathy Schaeffer with your ministry ideas!
